For those in higher ed, the answers are often well known, but for those who don't work in higher ed—particularly students and families—they just assume a college's career services shouldhelp them get a job. Yet they aren't all that good at doing so. My guests, Mike Goldstein and Geordie Brackin, explain why—and add a few reasons to the list that other researchers haven't pointed to before. And then they suggest a way to move forward, which departs from the solutions most people have offered to fixing career services. Shy'm et Mike Horn vont devoir gravir des montagnes, descendre en rappel des falaises vertigineuses, marcher sur des crêtes très étroites et être très attentifs aux nombreuses chutes de pierres. COMMUNIQUÉ DE PRESSE : - Né en 1966, Mike Horn avait entre 18 et 20 ans au moment de son service militaire obligatoire, lequel s’est achevé en décembre 1986. - Il n’a effectué que son service militaire obligatoire et n’a pas poursuivi une carrière militaire. - Dans ce cadre, il a été affecté dans les forces spéciales, plus précisément au bataillon 101. - Le bataillon 101 faisait partie des forces militaires officielles affectées conjointement par la Namibie et l’Afrique du Sud, la SWAFT, sur la frontière au nord de la Namibie avec l’Angola.(🤍 - Il avait le grade de lieutenant et commandait une section de 36 personnes composées de soldats de Namibiens et d’ex-SWAPO. - Il n’était pas chauffeur d’un véhicule blindé comme le laisse entendre sans preuve les médias suisses, particulièrement la RTS. - Mike Horn ne décidait pas lui-même de ces missions. Elles lui étaient ordonnées par son supérieur. - La doctrine d’engagement du bataillon n’était pas choisie par Mike Horn mais par ses supérieurs et était liée aux conditions du combat. - Il était sur la ligne de front dans le cadre d’un conflit armé.(🤍 cf. Sector 10) - Mike Horn n’a pas participé à l’opération liée à l’assassinat d’lmmanuel Shifidi le 30 novembre 1986. Mike Horn is acknowledged globally as one of the greatest modern day explorers. He's crossed and swum the rivers, sailed the oceans solo, survived near-death environments, brutally extreme conditions and confronted nature at her most unforgiving. In two decades, he's probably seen more of the earth than any other human. He realized that the future of our planet lay solely in the hands of our youth, who if properly educated and informed, can save and sustain our world for generations to come.
